I'm not sure how I'd missed this thing, called Julius, an open-source re-implementation of the game to bring it up to snuff for modern OSes, widescreen, etc. I've been debating for quite some time whether or not I wanted to pick it up and see how it ran on Win 10 or Manjaro Linux. Select 1024x768 as your resolution in the game: Options -> Display settings -> 1024 by 768 resolution.
